Itakha is one of the smallest of the Ionian islands and less visited, because it is rather difficult to reach. Therefore just a few tourists and many real original Greek villages. Itakha is well known for its mythological references by Homerus for that this island is the fatherland and kingdom of Odysseus. Kioni is a traditional village with a beautiful port, where a lot of yachts will moor in the summer. The entry of the bay is decorated by three halfly ruined windmills. The most important port and the capital of Ithaka is Vathi. Pirates have founded the village in the middle ages.
